Academic Overview
The NBB Program offers a Bachelor's of Science degree that combines behavioral biology with the study of how the nervous system controls body functions and cognition. The major represents a unique interdisciplinary synthesis of the fields of Neuroscience and Behavior and provides a breadth and focus not found in traditional Biology, Psychology, Neuroscience, or Anthropology programs.
Thus, the coursework required for the major represents the interdisciplinary focus of the program. While each student is required to complete the same foundational and core coursework, he/she is able to choose from a diverse range of elective courses, effectively allowing the student to create a NBB major best suited to their goals and interests.
Students at the Oxford College of Emory University can enroll in courses at Oxford that will count towards the NBB major.
