Video 8.4 Pinning. Pin the mass with the gut and brain in a dish. Cut nerves that attach the brain to the gut and other structures. Remove everything that is not part of the ring of ganglia. Pin the brain tightly with the ventral side up. (The ventral side of the subesophageal ganglia has nerves protruding from it; the dorsal side is smooth.)
