Endogenous Rhythm.
The electrode enters around cell 5 and the BAC neurons. After some difficulty getting the electrode into the neuron, the resting potential stabilizes around −40 mV. Hyperpolarizing dips of about 15 mV occur regularly, with a few action potentials occurring at their ends. This may be an endogenous rhythm, since no synaptic potentials are seen.
